The Research Center on Accounting and Taxation of the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (CICF/IPCA) and the Order of Certified Accountants (OCC) are holding a conference on Thursday, September 28, 2023, starting at 9:30 a.m., as part of the presentation of the Financial Yearbook of Portuguese Municipalities 2022.
The opening session will be delivered by OCC president Paula Franco, the Secretary of State for Local Administration, Carlos Miguel and the president of the Portuguese Court of Accounts, José Tavares.
The presentation of the 2022 Yearbook will follow, which will be given by Maria José Fernandes, president of IPCA, who is also coordinating the study.
Finally, there will be an opportunity for a debate with mayors, in which the many issues related to housing will be on the table. The round table is on the theme of “Challenges of local governance – Local housing strategy and PRR” and will be attended by Benjamim Pereira, Carlos Carreiras and Gonçalo Lopes, respectively the mayors of Esposende, Cascais and Leiria, and moderated by Pedro Mota e Costa, an economist.
The Financial Yearbook of Portuguese Municipalities is coordinated by the CICF/IPCA and has the support of the Order of Certified Accountants and the Portuguese Court of Accounts, both of which have been partners in this initiative from the very beginning.
