    Research Interests: Public Accounting, Management and Performance Accounting in the Public Sector

    Short Curriculum: Holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Minho. Is Coordinating Professor at the School of Management of IPCA and Director of the Research Centre in Accounting and Taxation of the same institution.

    Exerted the position of Vice-President of IPCA between 2011 and 2021, assuming responsibility for the strategic areas of evaluation and quality, academic and research management. Also integrated the Management Council of this institution between 2014 and 2021.

    Her research interests are transparency and dialogic accounting in public entities, the measurement and management of public performance, accounting and management control in the public sector and public accounting reforms oriented towards generally accepted international practices.

    Author of several national and international publications, of which are highlighted the publications in scientific journals indexed in the most prestigious databases. She is part of several international research networks in the area of public accounting and management where she participates in joint projects and in the scientific committee of several international congresses and conferences where she has also presented and shared her research findings.

    Has developed and coordinated applied research projects in the area of public accounting, particularly in the area of management accounting in municipalities.

    Was principal investigator of the R&D project funded by FCT from 2016 to 2020 entitled “The process of public sector accounting change as a result of IPSAS adoption in the Iberian Peninsula” (PTDC/IIM-GES/6923/2014).
