Fernanda Alberto

    Research interests:

    Business mergers and consolidation of accounts; enforcement; intangible assets; accounting measurement; quality of financial information; information transparency.

    Short Resume: Holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and Organization of Companies from the Autonomous University of Madrid since 2007. She is a Coordinating Professor at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of Coimbra, where she teaches since 1998. She is a member of the Technical-Scientific Council. Solicitor and Administration, the Coordinating Committee of the Master’s Degree in Management Control and coordination of the Postgraduate in Management of Insolvencies Recovery of Companies. Since 2011, it has collaborated with A3ES in the scope of the evaluation of higher education courses in HEI in polytechnic education in accounting and related fields. Referee in three Spanish scientific journals, in some national and international congresses and in a doctoral thesis in Spain. He was President of the Organizing Committee of the XIV Encuentro AECA, held at ISCAC, in 2010. He is a member of the International Relations Commission of the Spanish Association (AECA) and coordinator in Portugal and ISCAC of the association’s scholarship program. Already integrated a European research project (HARMONY) and two Spanish (CONVERCON and ICALI). His research focuses on the areas of enforcement, measurement and its effects on accounting information and international standards, in particular, intangible and business concentrations, in which it has publications and participation in foreign events by invitation.
