Seminar closing of postgraduate studies in SNC-AP “Desafios do reporting e da digitalização na contabilidade publica”

On the 9th of July, the IPCA School of Management will organize the closing seminar of the 5th edition of the postgraduate course in SNC-AP, starting at 10 am in the António Martins auditorium, on the IPCA Campus, in Barcelos.

The seminar has the participation of distinguished speakers who will debate the challenges and opportunities of the Accounting Standardization System for Public Administrations (SNC-AP) in promoting integrated reporting and the digitization of accountability and data analysis.

After the opening session, which will be attended by the President of IPCA and also coordinator of the Yearbook of Portuguese Municipalities, Maria José Fernandes, the seminar will be led by Susana Jorge, Associate Professor at the University of Coimbra, who will launch for debate the vulnerability and the reporting in local administration in the context of the pandemic.

This will be followed by the intervention of Dr. Joaquim Muxagata, Director of the Information Systems Management and Support team of the General Directorate of Treasury and Finance of the Ministry of Finance, who will reflect with the participants on the advantages of the digital transition in the centralized reporting of accounts and greater training in data analysis for decision-making.

In the afternoon, the seminar will be led by Lúcia Lima Rodrigues, Professor at the University of Minho, who will address the issue of accounting for financial instruments in the light of the SNC-AP.

There will be moments of debate with the speakers in order to encourage discussion and reflection with the seminar participants.

Given the relevance of the themes under consideration for the context of public financial management reform that the country is currently experiencing, the seminar is open to the community in general, and registration is mandatory HERE.
